THE ONE MINUTE TO THINK 🤔

“Your employer brand is never what you say it is. It’s what your employees and candidates say it is”

Jillian O’Mailor. Director of Employer Brand at Recruitics

LET'S DISCUSS 💬

How to Build a Strong Employer Brand?

What needs to be done for your company to stand out among competitors and attract top talent? Here are a few suggestions from professionals.

Isla Sanders, Talent Acquisition Executive
I think it's really important to clearly define what makes your company unique. This helps both your current team and potential hires see if your organization aligns with their values and needs. Keep your employee value proposition simple and invest in training your leaders to consistently communicate your company culture.

Karina Reynolds, Human Capital Leader
I often hear employers say that employer branding is expensive, which is why it's often overlooked in their talent strategy. But the truth is, employer branding is about being authentic and genuinely connecting with potential employees, without any hidden agendas. You don't need costly ads for this; you just need a compelling message. Use your social media and campus connections to reach the candidates you want. With a little creativity, you can attract the talent you're looking for.

Q: What's the most successful TV format these days?
A: Reality TV.

To take advantage of this trend, highlight your current employees as much as possible. You don't need a 24/7 YouTube channel, but definitely feature your team members, their work environment, and your facilities.

Keep things professional yet cool. Create videos and presentations specifically for candidates, not just top management. And make sure all your content is mobile-friendly.

Jonah Hughes, Human Capital Leader
Whenever possible, use the voices of former employees—your company "alumni" who have been part of your journey. This can be especially effective in attracting people who are looking for a place to grow and develop alongside others.
